Herbert Taylor served in Mesopotamia from March 1915 with 86th Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. He was taken prisoner at the Fall of Kut 29 April 1916. He died in captivity 28 July 1916, aged 24. His family were from Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire. He is listed on the Basra Memorial.

Peter Stewart Maclaren, MD was from Ottowa, Canada and was commissioned July 1916 in the Royal Army Medical Corps.
Served in Salonica from 12 August 1916 and entitled to pair.

George Turner was born 1893, enlisted 1st Battalion 7 September 1914. To France 10 February 1915. Wounded in the leg May 1915. Discharged January 1919 with a Silver War Badge. Lived in Newton Cottages, North Leach, Gloucestershire.

Michael Joseph Potter enlisted 27 October 1914 with the Grenadier Guards. To France 26 July 1915. Transferred to the Guards Machine Gun Regiment. Wounded in the thigh 15 September 1916 and gassed 24 March 1918. Invalided to England. Discharged November 1918.

William Thomas Pascoe enlisted in the Coldstream Guards February 1913, aged 18. To France 13 August 1914 (claimed clasp). Discharged 15 July 1915 due to GSW right hand.

Albert Edward Guy was from West Ham, London and enlisted 27 November 1914, aged 21. To France 19 September 1915.
Served with 155th Army Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Service record states: "Killed by hostile bomb" 22 December 1917. Buried at Fins New British Cemetery, Sorel-Le-Grand.

Albert Percy Price was born 1889 and was living in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. Enlisted into the 18th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment.
Went to France 20 September 1915. Killed in action 11 September 1918. Buried at Sailly-Labourse Cemetery.

John Short went to France 14 August 1914 with 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles. He was captured 28 October 1914 at Lille and held at Quedlinburg. Entitled to 1914 Star and clasp trio.

Thomas Girtley enlisted November 1902, aged 14, and served in India Sept. 1903 to October 1906. Africa 1906 to December 1910. L/Cpl. August 1912. Cpl. June 1913. To France 15 August 1914. Discharged 14 December 1915 on termination of engagement. Entitled to 1914 Star and clasp trio. He died in 1961.

William Johnson. Entitled to a 1915/15 Star trio. Served with the Army Cyclist Corps and Royal Engineers. Came from Barrow in Furness.

Thomas Pickup was born 1876 and lived in Bolton. Enlisted February 1915 with the East Lancashire Regiment.
To France 19 May 1915. Wounded right leg 7 July 1916 at Contalmaison. Transferred to 67 Company, Labour Corps. Discharged April 1919.

Patrick Boyd was from Ballymena and enlisted in the Irish Guards 11 May 1915. To France 5 October 1915. Discharged 27 November 1918.

William Higgins was born in Gloucester and enlisted into the Gloucestershire Regiment, went to France 19 December 1914. Transferred to the Machine Gun Corps.
Died of wounds 11 July 1916, aged 28. Listed at Etaples Military Cemetery.

Harold Thomas Allen enlisted June 1909, aged 18, into the Coldstream Guards. Discharged 20 July 1914 "having been convicted by the Civil Power of felony." In June 1914 he was convicted of stealing property from a Manuel Gonzalez. He was imprisoned for at Wormwood Scrubs for 9 months with hard labour. He later enlisted into the Grenadier Guards.

James MacPherson was born in Pitlochry in 1906 and went to France with 527 Company, Royal Army Service Corps, a part of the 51st Highland Division. Captured at St. Valery, 12 June 1940.
Held at Thorn from July to 1940 to March 1941, then Marienburg until Janury 1945. During this time he was also sent to work camps at Danzig, Kielau and Rahmel.

Copy service record. Duncan Bruce Watson was born 19 October 1912 in Port Elizabeth and was living in Umbilo Road, Durban when he enlisted into the South African Service Corps.
Posted to 1 Supply Company, Q Service Corps December 1940 in Mombasa. Acting Lance-Corporal October 1941. Discharged 1 October 1945. Medals confirmed on papers.
He died in Durban 6 July 1961.

Lance-Naik (Lance-Corporal), 10th Gurkha Rifles. August 1944 the 2nd Battalion landed at Taranto in August 1944. They took part in the breaking of the Gothic Line September-October. In March 1945 they took part in the attack to Bologna and forced the crossing of the River Sillaro.
